The story
A creator drop lives or dies on launch day: a big audience arrives at once from a single announcement, mostly on phones, and the store has to feel like the creator, not like a generic shop.
I built a custom Shopify theme on top of Dawn 14, versioned in GitHub and deployed through Shopify’s GitHub integration. The storefront carries the drop’s identity end to end: the hand-drawn BORN header with columns and clouds, scalloped section dividers, and a polaroid-style lookbook with handwritten captions instead of a plain product grid.
Under the playful skin it is a standard Shopify checkout, with product bundles like the full BORN box, size guides, FAQ and terms pages. The store has since closed; these screenshots come from the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine.

Liquid sections and styles layered on Dawn 14 so the store keeps Shopify’s performance and checkout while looking fully bespoke.
Git-based workflow
The theme lived in a GitHub repo and deployed through Shopify’s GitHub integration, so every change was reviewable and reversible.
Brand-first storefront
Illustrated hero, scalloped dividers and a polaroid lookbook with handwritten captions carry the drop’s identity.
Mobile-first for launch traffic
Built for the phone-heavy audience that arrives from a single stream or video announcement.
